Our camps strive to return all campers to their home programs in a place to be more successful individually, as well as to be able to contribute at a higher and more significant level to their boats and TEAM.

In addition to developing each camper's individual rowing/coxing ability, our Navy Rowing Camps introduce campers to the Midshipman concepts of honor, integrity and discipline. Campers experience life for the week in a Midshipman rower's shoes by rowing out of the USNA's boathouse, living in Bancroft Hall, and eating family style meals just like the Midshipmen in King Hall. It is truly a unique experience that extends beyond the work done on the river all week!

For our experienced rowers, our team of coaches focus their attention on individual stroke development and effective body positioning to help rowers best contribute to overall boat speed.
Rowers will be boated in an 8+ or 4+ with a dedicated coach and coxswain for the week to allow a consistent platform for focus and improvement. Rowers will also engage in numerous land seminars covering a range of topics such as college recruiting, nutrition, erg strategies, etc.

Coxswains are viewed as integral members of the boat and are treated as such in our camps. Focus for our coxswains will be on aiding rowers in technical changes, practice & race management, and leadership development.
Coxswain education takes place both on-the-water with their boat's coach for the week, as well as in coxswain-specific land seminars led by our in-house coxswain coach, Ainsley Tiernan.
Coxswains will additionally engage alongside their rowers in numerous land seminars covering topics such as college recruiting, nutrition, etc.

For our last week of camp we welcome campers brand new to the sport, along with those with limited experience seeking to advance their skills.
These campers will receive a comprehensive introduction to the sport, starting on the rowing machines and quickly progressing to our training barge and then racing shell. By the end of the week, campers will have put together a strong fundamental rowing stroke that can be built upon wherever these campers go next.
No experience is required for this group -- just a great attitude and willingness to try something new!
